What to expect: On Friday morning, the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we're climbing the Twin Towers. Nine laps of the Lyon Street Steps, Green Street to Broadway and back down: about 2,200 steps and 1,350 vertical feet, which matches the 110 stories of the North Tower. Firefighters did it in 60+ pounds of gear, so if you have a weighted vest bring it! Meeting Spot: Top — Lyon & Broadway (turnaround, Bay view) 6:30am sharp. sunrise is 6:52. Parking: Free street parking on Broadway between Lyon and Baker. It's residential 2-hour permit zone. What to bring: Water (nothing on course), road shoes are fine here, and a layer you can shed. Optional: a weight vest or pack if you want the firefighter's version. What is Victory Club? A growing group of good people doing hard, fast morning workouts.
